Current Product Source Dates
The Essential Science Indicators database has been updated as of September 14, 2017, to cover a 10-year plus 6-month period, January 1, 2007 – June 30, 2017. Data is updated bi-monthly (six times a year). This is the third bi-monthly period of 2017.
Retracted Articles Now Excluded From ESI
Essential Science Indicators derive from counts of articles published in journals. Articles are defined as research articles and review articles. Retracted articles are now excluded from article counts. The other document types excluded from article counts are letters to the editor, corrections, and abstracts.
